Visit UNESCO-listed Malacca on a day trip from Kuala Lumpur.See where Malaysia began on the Straits of Malacca.Gaze upon the ruins of St. Paul’s Church (closed every Monday) and Red Square (Christ Church closed every Monday), the pink Dutch administrative buildings that now house the Malacca Museum and government offices. Enjoy authentic local food at lunch. Afterward, see the Cheng Hoon Teng Temple, where 3 major doctrines of Chinese belief are worshiped under the same roof. Take a stroll along Malacca’s Jonker Street, which ends by the banks of the Malacca River. Learn about the Malay sultanate, Malacca’s rise as an important trading port and the Portuguese and Dutch influence from the early 16th century.

ITINERARY:

• Journey to Melaka from Kuala Lumpur city center (2 hours approx.)
• Visit St. Peter's Church (closed every Monday) Shorts and sleeveless shirts are not allowed
• Visit A'Famosa Portuguese fortress and Porta De Santiago  
• Maritime Musuem photostop
• Passby Melaka Museums (kastam muzium, melaka muzium) and walk along Dutch/Red Square
• Visit St. Paul’s Church & St. Paul’s Hill
• Visit Red Square (*Christ Church closed every Monday*)
• lunch at a local restaurant (drinks not included)
• Visit Jonker Street
• Visit Cheng Hoon Teng Temple
• Stroll by the Melaka River 
• head back to Kuala Lumpur city for drop off
